Vatna is a functional sculpture, miniature landscape, which offers a surface to sit or lie on. It is a statement of free organic form, craftmanship and haptics. Half of the surface is made out of solid ash plank and the other half is upholstered with mokumenui shibori manipulated fabric. The mokumenui shibori surface for the bench is hand manipulated in Arimatsu, Japan by Suzusan.
